Position Purpose:
The Senior Corporate Planner is responsible for contributing to the team which manages the strategic planning of the iterative annual budgetary processes by having a detailed understanding of historical and current trends at channel, identifying changes within the day to day landscape, developing an intentional response then working collaboratively to mitigate risk and maximize opportunity associated. The Sr. Corporate Planner will partner with the Manager & Sr. Manager/Director of Corporate Planning to drive the tops down pre and in-season Revenue, Margin and Inventory targets, reconcile tops down targets against middle out plan, report on performance and offer creative solutions to mitigate risk. Additionally, the Sr. Corporate Planner will partner with the Merchandise Planning and Pricing team on promotional planning, evaluate performance of tests and model impact if implemented channel-wide. The Sr. Corporate Planner must possess a keen ability to identify, communicate, and implement strategic business opportunities by Channel and SBU. As a member of the Planning and Inventory Management team, the Sr. Corporate Planner is a critical teammate who will wrangle complex business issues, deliver on insightful consumer, competitive and market analysis and develop plans that motivate and engage the full Team.
Responsibilities, include but are not limited to: This teammate will develop and leverage cross-functional partnerships within Finance, P&IM, Merchandising, Ecommerce, Retail and Analytics.

  • Partner with Finance and Strategy to develop and review the 5-year plan
  • Aid Corporate Planning Manager and Sr. Manager/Director with the Annual topside Merchandise Financial Plan via Corporate Planning forecast
  • Support the management, consolidation and rhythm of the Financial Planning processes across Merchandising and Finance
  • Prepare documentation that informs Executive teams of growth strategies, opportunities and risks
  • Run models in preparation of business cases for new business opportunities
  • Manage the topline financial modeling and productivity analysis of the business
  • Maintain multiple forecast scenarios, partner with Manager, Sr. Manager/Director to determine the optimal solution
  • Report weekly results identifying financial risks and opportunities and make recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Perform ad hoc analyses
  • Create post-promotional and testing analysis tools to drive/improve Revenue and Margin
  • Help guide planning teams in promotion forecasting ensuring profitable results
  • Participate in the monthly OTB process inclusive of reconciliation with Merchandise Planning's middle out financial plan
  • Develop and distribute hindsight reporting
  • Report results for Revenue and Margin tests
  • Create ad hoc recaps and complete ad hoc projects
    Experience & Requirements

    • The candidate must possess strong organizational skills, foster creative ideas, and have the ability to synthesize information into understandable, pertinent, high-quality reports and presentations.
    • The best candidate demonstrates experience and proficiency in the areas of personal time management, project/process management and team coordination across functional departments.
    • BA with 5-7 years of experience in a Planning or Finance role
    • Possesses understating of Retail Financial measurements and KPIs
    • Analytical and problem-solving skills; meticulous attention to detail
    • Demonstrates exceptional communication skills
    • Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities; able to multi-task and to thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
    • Ability to work cross-functionally and develop strong relationships across multiple areas of the business
    • Expert Microsoft Excel skills
    • Experience or willingness to learn Corporate/Financial planning systems such as Cognos, Essbase, TM1, Oracle, MicroStrategy and/or Snowflake
    • Knowledge of SQL or other data manipulation tools a plus
