Position Summary: This role plays an important role by delivering full cycle training that translates into productive and successful sales managers and agents. The right person will identify training needs, collaborate with home office and field stakeholders, design and deliver curriculum for onboarding, initial and ongoing training, track desired outcomes, report metrics and maintain training materials. Location: This hybrid position is located in the Westport area of St. Louis, MO. Relocation package may be considered. Travel will be required as the business necessitates. Position Responsibilities: Conduct skill gap analysis to identify training needs Collaborate with home office and field stakeholders to clarify expectations, needs, establish desired outcomes and deliverables Effectively apply knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theory to the design and delivery methods of new training programs. Utilize multimedia technology, eLearning and electronic performance support as part of a blended approach. Deliver onboarding, initial and ongoing training for sales managers and agents Collect feedback from attendees and their managers post training Track and report metrics that summarize results and model outputs, suitable for multiple audiences including Kemper Senior Executives Maintain current records, updated training material, curricula, and costs Suggest needed changes to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of training programs Work collaboratively with field training team to gather information, take ownership of deliverables, and meet deadlines and established budgets Support the continuous exchange of best practices, learning and information across all teams within Kemper Life Other duties as assigned. Position Requirements: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience 3+ years of sales training experience. Insurance or financial services experience preferred. Experience as the subject matter expert on project teams Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills Ability to drive the ideation, design and delivery of field sales training solutions in close collaboration with a range of partners including business owners, field partners, technology, operations, legal & compliance, and corporate training. Strong customer focus and should be able to collaborate with users to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into training requirements. Ability to create and manage an effective learning environment Knowledge of insurance sales processes desired Excellent design skills; strong oral communications and presentation skills High collaborative skills and ability to interface across organizational levels and cultures Strong organizational skills with ability to meet tight deadlines in a fluid, fast-paced environment Strong communication, organization and presentation skills Ability to build effective partnerships and exhibit positive impact on business objectives A thorough understanding of instructional design, adult learning and training methodologies Experience working with current training technology and multimedia tools and applications Candidate Profile: Highly motivated and natural self-starter, independent thinker, great planner, and team player Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex topics in an understandable, concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences Organizational skills including time management and the ability to handle multiple priorities Structured in thinking process and strong problem-solving skills, the ability to break down complex problems and find solutions Ability to cope with uncertainty, learn fast, motivated by new and complex challenges Manage information in a visually appealing and easy to understand method Drive results across a team of dynamic communicators and professionals Ability to quickly absorb complex issues, ensure alignment across cross-functional teams Possesses a continuous improvement mindset Competencies Needed: Decision Quality - making good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward Drives Results - consistently achieves results under difficult circumstances Action Oriented - takes on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm Collaborates - building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives Communicates Effectively - develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences Values Differences - recognizes the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to the organization Nimble Learning - actively learning through experimentation when tackling new problems, using both successes and failures as learning fodders Sponsorship not accepted for this opportunity.
