Job Description:

As a leader in Digital Communications at JP Morgan Chase, you will assist the teams in coordinating their complex efforts by facilitating our controls agenda. In this role, you will be expected to collaborate with the business, Communications product owners, control partners and development teams to support the controls processes. Chase customers should be confident that their communications will be timely, secure, and relevant. In order to do that and retain our valued customers, it is important to have strong controls to prevent, detect, and mitigate risks. Your ability to coordinate with and influence the work of partnering product groups towards common program-level goals will directly impact our future success.

You will lead control activities for the Communications product. Leveraging your understanding of and experience with risk identification and controls, you will lead and support new and ongoing initiatives from inception to completion and work behind the scenes to execute on deliverables associated within our Control framework. On a daily basis, you will work with the controls and Communications teams to tackle issues and escalations and prevent recurrence. Job Responsibilities:

  • Single point of contact for the intake of control requests and subject matter expert of the existing automated and manual controls within the Communications team.
  • Steward of the customer and or business risks mitigated by the controls, including understanding the risks, severity of them and how the our controls mitigate them.
  • Facilitate reviews of current processes and controls with the Communications Product Owners and our controls partners, and facilitate audit readiness and preparation activities.
  • Utilize knowledge of business to assess and escalate issues.
  • Partner with the product and technology teams for closure of open issues arising from audits and other evaluations.
  • Act as cross-area product group liaison to direct issues or other control matters to resolution. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills :
    • 2+ years of financial service experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance-related functions
    • Proficient knowledge of control/ risk management concepts with the ability to evaluate controls
    • Ability to communicate complex and or difficult topics clearly and effectively to differing audiences
    • Action-oriented with a focus on results
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
    • Good leadership and decision-making skills, with ability to coordinate and influence across multiple groups/partners Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
      • Bachelor's degree with major in accounting, business administration, risk management, or equivalent experience is preferred
      • Digital Communications, technology experience
      • Ability to create and execute an actionable roadmap focused on comprehensive assessment of needs/gaps and timely delivery
