This role involves overseeing tax compliance and planning, ensuring adherence to regulations, and delivering strategic tax solutions, especially for small businesses. Key Responsibilities - Supervise and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support in tax compliance and planning. - Review and approve tax returns and related documentation for accuracy and compliance with tax laws. - Develop and implement tax strategies for small business clients to optimize their tax positions. - Stay updated on legislative changes and industry trends to inform clients and improve service offerings. - Collaborate with clients to understand their tax needs and provide tailored advice to enhance their financial outcomes. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - At least 5 years of experience in tax preparation and compliance, with a focus on small businesses. - Proven leadership skills and experience managing a team. - Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations and compliance requirements. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build client relationships.
