Job Description:
Civista Bank, a cornerstone in banking with a storied history of

Senior Mortgage Lender to expand our mortgage lending services. The
ideal candidate will contribute to the bank's tradition of helping
customers reach their financial goals by providing high-quality,
tailored mortgage solutions. This role demands a deep understanding
of mortgage products, market dynamics, and regulatory compliance to
optimally serve our diverse client base. Develop and maintain a
portfolio of mortgage lending business, identifying and acting on
opportunities for growth and expansion. Provide expert advice and
mortgage solutions to meet the diverse needs of clients while
ensuring all loan documentation is complete, accurate, and
compliant with internal and regulatory standards. Manage the entire
loan process, from origination through to closing, ensuring a
smooth and customer-focused transaction. Evaluate and analyze
client financial data to determine eligibility and feasibility of
granting loans. Stay abreast of new types of loans and other
financial services and products to better meet customer needs.
Collaborate with branch managers and underwriters to underwrite
loans, verify the credit decisions, and ensure they meet the risk
guidelines. Coach and mentor junior lenders and support staff to
enhance department performance and expertise. Strong knowledge of
mortgage products and applicable federal and state regulations.
Ability to analyze financial data and make informed lending
decisions. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Leadership capabilities with mentoring and coaching skills.
Proficiency in financial modeling and risk assessment. High level
of customer service orientation and negotiation skills. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) preferred. NMLS certification
required.
