Position Title Solution Engineer - PrePost Sales The Sales Engineer works closely with other team members to provide technical support, and they also conduct technical sales presentations. Pre-Sales Support The Solution Engineer will play an important role in winning sales. They are responsible for analyzing prospects' business and technical requirements and developing solutions that meet those needs. They must possess excellent product and technical knowledge and will support business development staff in demonstrating technical products to prospects and explaining how the proposed product or solution meets their needs. Post-Sales Implementation and Oversight When clients have agreed to a purchase, the Solution Engineer will identify the specific products, services, and support clients. They will oversee and assist in the implementation of technical projects and coordinate with other internal resources, as necessary Ongoing Support The Solution Engineer is also responsible for triaging and responding to escalated client support requests. They will produce and maintain product documentation and tutorials. They will monitor support requests to identify any recurring issues and recommend product enhancements. They will hold regular review meetings with clients to discuss any issues or problems and provide reports to members of the products and account teams. Key Responsibilities bull Partner with account managers throughout the organization on prospective opportunities bull Pull together and collaborate with subject matter experts across the organization as well as our partners bull Provide solution approach to include assisting in technical architectures for large scale efforts as well as designing and assisting with building prototypes andor proof of concepts bull Manage estimation request, including writing the request, educating the estimation staff, and writing a proposal from the results. bull Provide knowledge transfer to new projects including participation in initiation meetings, educating the staff through preparation meetings, and ensuring team is prepared to successfully kick off the project. bull Possesses a high level of Integrity. Acts ethically and is above reproach. Builds trust through their honesty, reliability, and authenticity. Possesses a strong concern for the needs of hisher colleagues. Meets commitments and keeps promises. bull Must be Flexible. Smoothly handles multiple demands, shifting priorities and rapid change. Adapts strategies and tactics to fit fluid circumstances. bull Develop and maintain expert-level, working knowledge and ability to present high level and deep-dive product and service functionality that supports customer technical and functional requirements bull Work closely with Sales, Accounts, and Client Success teams to understand customers' needs and design elegant solutions to meet those needs using companyrsquos product and technical capabilities bull Prepare technical sales and support content including requirements documents, job aids, diagrams, and presentations bull Complete clientprospect technical and security assessments required to secure business bull Focusing on pre-sales technical support, demonstrating innovative solutions that showcases how our current and prospective clients can achieve their business goals bull Provide technical knowledge, advice, and support to customers, understanding their business requirements and technology stack. bull Provide pre-sale technical support in sales presentation and product presentations at customer sites bull Own Proof of Concepts based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping andor product demo for clients bull Outstanding communication skills, particularly in conveying technical concepts in a manner that is easy for clients and non-technical partners to understand bull Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving abilities with a tenacious commitment to finding the root cause of issues Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities) and Experience bull 3+ yearsrsquo experience in a Sales Engineer, Technical Sales or Consulting role bull Must have a strong background in Software Engineering with a deep understanding of application servers, development methodologies, operating systems, technical platformsarchitecture, and the application workflow lifecycle or User Experience (UX) background with a deep understanding of user centered design, visual and interaction design, and front-end engineering. bull Innovative and creative thinking ability to apply proven approaches to new problems and create compelling solutions bull Ability to learn new technologies quickly and understand how to apply that knowledge to client business needs bull Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with high attention to detail and quality in a fast-paced start-up environment bull Excellent presentation, communication and customer interaction skills required bull Excellent oral and written communication, product demonstration, customer service, and presentation skills required. bull Must be able to successfully manage multiple projects bull Positive willingness to commit passion and energy to getting the job done bull Ability to approach things differently through creative, innovative problem solving bull Ability to be an internal and external partner who collaborates, stays open-minded, and focuses on relationships Work Environment Standard Office EnvironmentSDL2017
