per year and we are continuing to grow!The Role:The DevOps Engineer
will create, deploy, monitor, scale and secure infrastructure and
applications with focus on automating as much as possible. This
role will work with other engineers to evolve the company's CI/CD
capabilities and will play a key role in the implementation of
DevOps processes and tooling. This role is key to helping the teams
in the engineering organization be successful in their jobs.The
Responsibilities:
- Ensure availability, performance, scalability, and security of
deployed infrastructure
- Build and maintain operations software which automates the
configuration, provisioning, deployment, and monitoring of our core
products
- Build and maintain our production infrastructure to ensure
ongoing reliability while maximizing development team
efficiency
- Develop automation frameworks for public cloud infrastructure
deployments
- Monitor, troubleshoot and debug infrastructure, network,
operating system, and system performance issues
- Maintenance, management, and streamlining of all our CI/CD
processes
- Participate in architecture planning sessions with development
team
- Work closely with developers and QA teams to understand how to
improve their processes and deliver high quality software more
effectively
- Availability to participate in an on-call rotationDesired
Attributes:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience with system administration
on Linux machines
- A minimum of 3 years of experience using Docker or other
containerization technologies
- A minimum of 3 years of experience using Terraform
- A minimum of 3 years of experience using AWS
- A minimum of 2 years of experience using Kubernetes
- A minimum of 2 years of experience using Jenkins or similar
CI/CD Tools
- Experience with Ansible, Helm, and Git
- Experience with Cloud Networking and Load Balancer Technologies
(AWS ELB, HAProxy, etc.)
- Experience with maintaining monitoring tools like Grafana,
Prometheus, InfluxDB, and Telegraf
- Ability to critically think and provide solutions to problems
you have not encountered before
- Fluency in at least two programming languages (i.e. Ruby,
Python, etc.)
- Experience with continuous integration / deployment (CI/CD) in
a high availability environment
- Ability to work effectively with distributed teams using
collaboration tools and without face-to-face communicationCompany
