accepting resumes for Summer 2023 Civil Engineering interns within
our Community Development Group in multiple locations throughout
the Midwest. As an intern, you will work in a team environment and
have exposure to community development projects that may include
renewable energy, urban design and planning, roadways, park and
recreation design, multi-use trail and pathway design, traffic
engineering, landscape architecture, assessment and rehabilitation,
infrastructure design, water and wastewater conveyance, and storm
water management. We provide efficient solutions that are
environmentally responsible, functional, and technically sound. Our

housing and meal per diems covered by Stantec.Your Key
ResponsibilitiesUse technical and communication abilities to
complete the civil component of a wide variety of projects in a
dynamic design team setting.Inspect construction sites for
compliance with project documents and engineering principalsAssist
with preparation of plans and specifications, reports, and other
project deliverablesAttend meetings on an as needed basisComplete
detailed reports as requiredProcure permits and other approvals
from various agenciesCommunicate effectively with construction and
engineering staff, clients, and other project stakeholdersAssist
with CAD drafting and design, and preparation of construction
documentsQualificationsYour Capabilities and CredentialsProficient
with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)Requires understanding of basic
AutoCAD Civil 3DStrong interpersonal, verbal, and written
communication skillsStrong interest in community development
engineering disciplinesAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and take
directionAbility to work independentlyMust have a vehicle, good
driving record, and valid driver's licenseEducation and
ExperienceIn progress toward earning a bachelor's degree (minimum
requirement) in civil engineering, structural engineering,
architecture, construction management or related fieldSpecific
coursework or exposure to one or more of the following is desired:
planning, design, construction, architecture, infrastructure,
hydrology, surveying and construction managementField work may
include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
