Columbus Regional Airport Authority is looking for a Fleet Technician l who wants to "Land Your Next Career"! This position will be responsible for performing skilled mechanical repair and preventative maintenance work on our diversified vehicle fleet of light to medium vehicles, trucks, and equipment. The Columbus Regional Airport Authority manages and operates passenger-focused John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH), cargo-focused Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK), and general aviation airport Bolton Field (TZR).We are a diverse group of committed and talented professionals who show up every day to take CRAA to new heights. • Grease, lubricate, and change oil in light vehicles and equipment.
• Check and replace tires, fan belts, water hoses, and batteries.
• Fill radiator with water and antifreeze; replace windshield wipers, air filters and other accessories.
• Check and assess brakes, transmission, power steering and fluid levels.
• Check and assess alignment of wheels and correct body rattles.
• Complete road test to locate defects in operation, as well as check and assess repair work before return equipment to active use.
• Perform minor welding and fabrication repairs.
• Perform minor body paint touch ups.
• Review, prepare and complete work orders in a timely manner.Your "Landing" will be smooth if you meet the following requirements:
  • At least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED
  • Possess a valid Ohio driver's license, in good standing
  • Commercial Driver License (Class A or Class B) is preferred
  • One (1) year of experience as a fully skilled auto mechanic on equipment
  • Knowledge of construction, assembly, adjustment, and maintenance of a variety of automobiles, SUV's pickup trucks, lawn and garden, and related light equipment
  • Able to lift to 50 lbs. and work in an indoor, outdoor, and mechanical shop environment
