Sims Brothers Recycling is Hiring Diesel Mechanics Up To $30.00 Per Hour Full Benefits --- Sims Brothers Recycling is a family-owned business providing exceptional service in the Central Ohio area for 80 years. Sims Brothers buys, transports, processes, brokers and sells all types of recyclable products including scrap iron and steel, nonferrous metals, cardboard, newspaper, high grade paper, plastics, and glass. We are currently looking for a full-time Diesel Mechanic to join our team in our Marion, Ohio location. What We Offer: Health Benefits - Medical, Dental, Vision Life Insurance - Optional Short Term Disability 401k With 3% Company Match Holiday Pay Holidays Off Christmas Bonus Safety Shoes About the Position: $20 - $30 Per Hour - Depending on Experience Monday - Friday Work Week Shift: 7am - 3:30pm Weekends Off On occasion able to work overtime as needed Location: Marion, OH Responsibilities: Inspect and diagnose vehicles through various diagnostic testing to determine appropriate repairs Perform regular routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, adjusting brakes, changing tires and lubricating equipment Remove and replace components such as brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, drive train components, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, hydraulics and other important parts to ensure that vehicles are in proper operating condition Maintain documentation of service and repair to all vehicles Complies with federal and state requirements by completing DOT inspection of vehicles. Willingness to participate in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications Ensure the appearance of vehicles and maintenance shop Requirements: --- 1 Year of Experience Preferred Valid unrestricted driver's license - CDL Class A preferred Heavy duty class 8 diesel experience preferred Current Medical Card Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure. Must be a team player and treat co-workers with respect. Good communication skills and reliable attendance is expected. On occasion able to work overtime as needed. Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
