Job Title:Lead DDI EngineerLocation:OH - ColumbusWhat you'll
do:The Lead DDI Engineer spearheads complex IT Initiatives,
designing, implementing, maintaining, and triaging enterprise DDI
infrastructure and services. They will guide a small team of
engineers, influencing their contribution while working
independently. Working closely with IT leadership, they will
deliver engineering roadmap initiatives, drive continuous
improvement and maturity. In addition, the Lead DDI Engineer and
team are responsible for defining, creating, and maintaining
architecture diagrams, standard operating procedures, and other
support documentation for their functional areas. They will
participate in an on-call rotation and complete planned
service-impacting activities outside of normal business hours in
line with change management processes. Some travel may be
required.What we are looking for: Responsibilities
- Leads a small group of engineers, developing the engineering
roadmap, defining workstreams, and delegation.
- Plans, designs, deploys and matures network infrastructure,
services, and processes to meet business needs.
- Delivers annual OKRs & KPIs for service availability, capacity,
and performance management.
- Provides escalation-level support to our incident, problem, and
change management processes.
- Collaborates with IT Governance during assessments and audits,
providing evidence to support the control framework.
- Procures and evaluate bleeding-edge technology solutions and
present recommendations.
- Leads complex IT projects e.g., greenfield/brownfield
deployments, vendor to vendor migrations, mergers &
acquisitions.
- Drives standardization, reduce needless complexity and
challenge convention.
- Creates and maintains comprehensive engineering
documentation.
- Ongoing proactive maintenance of network infrastructure &
services.
- Participation in business continuity and disaster recovery
planning, testing, and maturity.
- Participation in operational support 24x7 on-call rotation as
required.
- Other duties as assigned.Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology,
or a closely related field.
- 9+ years IT engineering industry experience with evidence of
ongoing professional development.
- Strong leadership, organization, and mentorship skills with
demonstratable experience.
- Professional-level certifications with F5 Networks, Cisco, Palo
Alto, or Infoblox.
- Extensive experience supporting mission-critical, highly
regulated networks within finance or healthcare.
- Extensive experience supporting security frameworks & controls
for HIPPA, PCI, SOX, CIS, NIST, ISO, etc.
- Extensive experience in solution architecture design &
tech-lead within IT project delivery.
- Expert knowledge of enterprise networking, IP routing, packet
switching, data flow analysis, etc.
- In-depth experience with Infoblox NIOS DDI managing enterprise
DNS, DHCP, and IPAM.
- In-depth experience with Cloudflare managing domains, dns
records, WAF, etc.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure or AWS public
clouds.
- Experience with F5 BIG-IP LTM & GTM Load balancers.
- Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco Firepower firewalls
& Cisco AnyConnect VPN.
- Extensive experience operating within an ITIL ITSM organization
with a background using ServiceNow.
- Extensive experience with diagramming software such as
Lucidchart or Microsoft Visio
- Experience using tools such as SolarWinds, Netbrain,
LiveAction, ThousandEyes, AppDynamics, ELK, etc.
- Excellent communication skills, directly interfacing IT
leadership, business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Experience scripting in Python, Perl, or PowerShell a
