Network Engineer LeadLocation: Columbus, OHHybrid: 3 Days onsite
2 days remoteMust-Have Technical Skills:5+ years of experience
supporting end-to-end network technologies, including routers,
switches, VPN appliances, firewalls, load balancers, DNS
appliances, and wireless devices.Proficiency in network
programmability using APIs, Python scripts, and/or
Ansible.Familiarity with network security technologies such as Palo
Alto firewalls and NAC (Cisco ISE).Experience with Software Defined
Networking (SD-WAN, DNAC, NDO, ACI).Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux
systems.In-depth understanding of dynamic routing protocols like
BGP and OSPF.Advanced grasp of business technology drivers and
their impact on architecture design.Proficiency in performance
monitoring via SNMP, API, and SIEM (Splunk).Familiarity with best
practices and HNB (Highly Networked Business) policies.Excellent
troubleshooting skills.Nice-to-Have Skills:Experience working in an
Agile/Kanban team aligned with ITIL practices.Knowledge of cloud
platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure (nice to have).Exposure to an
enterprise environment and previous banking/financial industry
experience.Job Description:The Network Operations Engineer develops
the operational vision and direction for the team in collaboration
with Network Operations managers. Key responsibilities
include:Making strategic decisions by analyzing complex data
systems and incorporating knowledge from other lines of
business.Spearheading complex programs that span multiple
inter-organizational units and interfaces with more experienced
professionals.Identifying critical, high-payoff technology
strategies and prioritizing team efforts accordingly.Providing
coaching and mentoring to less experienced team members.Offering
Level 3/4 engineering support for the corporate enterprise
network.
