Job Description:

Under management supervision: implement process control programs that will assure production of finished goods that meet or exceed customer specified requirements. Requires an ability to work within a diverse work force as a change agent practicing a Zero-Defect Quality Philosophy. Lead continuous improvement by utilizing the appropriate quality tools and provide data analysis. Review design and process changes for effect on product performance. Facilitate training of associates on inspection methods, procedures, and company policies. Oversee customer complaints to determine quality activities required to eliminate issues. Must be timely on all appraisals. Job Responsibilities

  • Conducts multiple projects simultaneously ranging from feasibility phase to post launch qualityassessment and throughout production life.
    • Maintains customer contact to assure quality requirements are communicated throughout ourorganization.
      • Conducts Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEA) in conjunction with advanced quality planningActivities (CP, Flows, etc.) and monitors the status throughout production life, knowledge APQP.
        • Develops, implements, and maintains advanced Statistical Process Control techniques.
        • Develops, implements, and maintains accurate and appropriate operation of inspection systems andsampling techniques.
          • May function as leader of other quality associates and conduct performance appraisals.
          • Monitors and revises quality documentation as required.
          • Learns and adheres to all safety rules and regulations.Accountabilities
            • Assures compliance of the documented quality system and promotes consistency throughout theorganization.
              • Participates in the establishment and implementation of quality methodology within the organization.
              • Monitors inspection results and process control to ensure production of finished products meets all customer specifications.
              • Represents the voice of the customer in all aspects to assure compliance to customer requirements.
              • Compiles the contents and assures compliance to customer requirements for all initial production partsubmissions.
                • Adheres to and remains abreast of all corporate policies.
                • Commits to team and corporate goals, mission, and vision.
                • Visits customers and suppliers when necessary.
                • Submits one Continuous Improvement Program idea (CIP) per quarter.Required Education and Skills
                  • Bachelor's Degree in a Business or Technical Discipline or equivalent experience.
                  • Must exhibit exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
                  • Strong working knowledge with Automotive Industry Quality Systems (ISO/IATF 16949).
                  • Experience in inspection techniques and metrology.
                  • Proven problem-solving ability.
                  • Solid blueprint reading skills including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
                  • Sound knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
                  • Strong analytical, technical and computer literacy skills.
                  • Ability to effectively interact with associates at all levels.
                  • Must satisfy quality standards.
                  • Can clearly communicate orally and in writing.
                  • Manifests non-violent behavior.
                  • Uses clear independent thinking.
                  • Has regular attendance.
                  • Must start work on time.
                  • Must work the scheduled shift.
                  • Must conform to current environmental standards.
                  • Must participate in annual training to update and document job related skills.
                  • Lifting up to 35 pounds.
                  • Ability to operate standard office equipment.
                  • Operate a computer keyboard 4 hours or more per day.
                  • Reading computer screens, documents, measuring equipment, and blueprints.
                  • Voice communication and telephone.
                  • Office environment, 50%.
                  • Manufacturing environment, 50%.
