To learn more about ADS, please visit our website at Responsibilities Summary: The Engineering Technician engages in a range of support functions to increase sales, enhance the market positioning, and ensures the proper applications of ADS products. They provide technical support directly to the Engineered Product Manager(EPM) and other outside sales personnel located throughout the world. In addition to providing customer service directly to ADS customers, they will assist consulting engineers, contractors and others that influence markets for ADS products. Primary Job Responsibilities: The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: --- Preparation of StormTech chambers and ADS pipe system drawings and details. --- Engineering service request tracking.--- Sanitary sewer preliminary review. --- Integration of ADS and Allied products including water quality devices into system designs. --- Detailing and drawing special fitting requests from the ADS sales team. --- Prepare material estimates, as needed, for the sales team. --- Technical correspondence with employees and customers. --- Development of new standard details. --- Basic understanding of ADS products needed to support assigned territory. --- CAD detail project production with explicit direction from team leader. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: This position should possess the following skills/knowledge: --- Strong customer service skills. --- Intermediate computer skills (MS Office) --- Ability to resolve customer problems and issues. --- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.--- Experience with AutoCAD or similar program. --- Positive representation of ADS. --- Background in site development. --- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities. --- Engaged in products and resources. --- Understanding company culture and business. --- Accurate understanding an identification of product applicability. --- Product and application knowledge. Qualifications: --- Two year Technical Degree in Computer Aided Drafting Associates Degree in Civil Engineering Physical Requirements: --- Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting, to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard, and to verbally communicate to exchange information.EEO StatementADS supports an inclusive workplace that values diversity of thought, experience, and background.
