  • FORTUNE-- Best Workplaces for Millennials IND123 Basic Purpose To plan, manage and oversee the operations of the Corporate Systems division, which encompasses management of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) suite of applications (e.g., administrative services, financial management, human capital management, legal, project management, procurement, supply chain, and risk management, etc.) and work portfolio. Provide strategic analysis and recommendations to influence key decisions by executive leadership. Serve as Corporate Systems Service Owner and subject matter expert providing expert consultative guidance for enterprise-wide strategic projects, programs and initiatives.


    --- Develop and oversee division strategy, establish priorities and set goals; evaluate and implement standards to measure performance and ensure alignment with organizational objectives
    --- Oversee operations to ensure targets, service level agreements and corporate objectives are met
    --- Provide visionary thought leadership to transform and evolve the corporate systems suite of applications from on premise solutions to a cloud first architecture under an integrated anchor platform
    --- Provide technology guidance and support to the Chief Technology Officer, ISD, business stakeholders and supporting organizations
    --- Understand product and technology trends, government/policy impacts and industry best practices, evaluate options, and recommend optimal business technology solutions that align with the goals and objectives of the business and Information Services Strategic Plan & technology roadmap
    --- Partner with Technology Strategy and Architecture group to determine and define the technical architecture and solutions required to implement and support each division service
    --- Develop and maintain an understanding of business processes and technology used within service areas to ensure compliance with policy, vendor contractual requirements, procedures, processes and standards
    --- Support and contribute to the development and implementation of the Information Services Strategic Plan and technology roadmap
    --- Serve as technical advisor to strategic projects and programs; arbitrate across technology disciplines to arrive at timely decisions on technology architecture and design
    --- Collaborate closely across business units to understand the goals and objectives of key strategic initiatives; recommend relevant technology and architecture strategy
    --- Influence the technology vendor selection process by providing technical expertise in current and emerging technologies, trends and best practices
    --- Guide and analyze benchmarking and trend analysis and other input to drive continuous improvement and elevate service performance
    --- Establish comprehensive metrics and reporting to evaluate performance of assigned services to ensure service levels are achieved
    --- Oversee development of workforce strategy and resource plan (e.g., skills, competencies, team size, etc.) for each division service
    --- Provide technical insight for project and portfolio planning, prioritization, and budgeting process
    --- Build and maintain relationships with team members, management, key stakeholders and/or external contacts (e.g., vendors, etc.)
    --- Perform supervisory/managerial responsibilities
    o Set direction to ensure goals and objectives align with corporate and division strategy
    o Select management and other key personnel; oversee talent development/succession planning
    o Collaborate with leadership/executive colleagues to develop/execute corporate initiatives and/or department strategy
    o Oversee the preparation and execution of division AFP
    o Manage merit pay in accordance with specified objectives and guidelines
    --- Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications and Education Requirements:

    --- Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience
    --- Extensive experience working in a large-scale IT organization with diverse technologies, solution architectures and customer demands, with responsibility for overseeing various corporate technology applications used across the enterprise (e.g., financial management, human capital management, legal, project management, procurement, supply chain, administrative services, and risk management, etc.), preferably in a large financial services organization, or other major B2C corporation
    --- Extensive experience in leading large technology initiatives with enterprise level impact and managing vendor relationships
    --- Extensive experience in developing financial business cases to support strategic business initiatives and IT transformation recommendations
    --- Expert knowledge of project lifecycles and management methodologies
    --- Expert skill to move comfortably between varying business discussions to effectively communicate complex technical issues to non-technical audiences
    --- Expert situational analysis and decision-making skills
    --- Expert problem solving, collaboration, critical thinking, team building, and presentation skills
    --- Expert skill leading with diplomacy and tact while maintaining appropriate assertiveness and persistence
    --- Expert skill to formulate a strategic vision and define and implement action plans to achieve strategic goals
    --- Extensive experience working with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders, vendors
    --- Extensive experience in managing and leading professional employees
    --- Extensive experience in demonstrating thought-leadership, initiative-taking, decision-making and creativity solving business problems
    --- Extensive experience in resource allocation and management
    --- Expert skill to influence, negotiate and persuade to reach agreeable exchange and positive outcomes
    --- Expert skill producing desired results and achieving goals and objectives
    --- Expert skill presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives and information clearly and concisely
    --- Expert word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software skills
    --- Expert verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills

    Desired Qualifications and Education Requirements:

    --- Expert knowledge of Navy Federal functions, philosophy, operations and organizational objectives

    Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
