Job Description:
Job DescriptionThe Encourage Regional Director recruits and
supports foster families in the Columbus and Central Ohio region,
developing relationships with local children's service agencies and
facilitating all behavioral health services for children placed in
Encourage Foster homes. The Encourage Regional Director will
demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit a resourceful, self-starting,

The Encourage Regional Director ensures that agency vision and
direction are communicated on a level that allows every employee to
understand their ownership in the success of the agency and that
they are a valued member of the organization. All Agency staff are
expected to focus on Quality improvement as a part of their job
responsibilities, in an effort to make the Agency a safe and
healing environment for clients and staff. This expectation
includes, but is not limited to: teamwork, improving service
delivery, fulfilling department goals, and other job-specific tasks
that encourage excellence.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: It
is the responsibility of each employee to be a consistent witness

the following:
- Makes every effort to maintain a 'team first' spirit and
atmosphere within the workplace environment fostering and
maintaining appropriate working relationships within the Encourage
team, and with other Agency departments, as well.
- Develops a foster care recruitment plan and strategy for the
Columbus area Hub. Implements and manages the recruitment plan for
foster/adoptive parents in the Columbus/Central Ohio region.
Collaborates with Encourage Recruitment & Relationship Specialist
and agency Marketing and Communications Manager for monitoring
strategy, managing resources, and making changes, as needed.
- Develops and maintains relationships with Central Ohio
agencies, churches, and prospective individuals/families to create
and maintain a Foster Care/Adoption Hub.
- Assists with planning, implementing and monitoring Hub
budget.
- Assists in facilitating foster parent pre-service training, no
less than quarterly, to prospective individuals and families.
- Assists in facilitating on-going training for all Columbus Hub
families, according to their individual training needs (ITNAs)and
the agency's treatment model for addressing trauma, both in and out
of home care (TBRI).
- Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Encourage,
and using SACWIS, and Extended Reach (eR), conducts initial
foster/adoptive home studies with families in the Hub, and provides
recertifications and all licensing needs ensuring families maintain
compliance with foster care rules and agency policies.
- Develops and maintains partnerships with local public
children's service placing agencies in the community for the
purposes of identifying and placing child(ren) in the
Columbus/Central Ohio area network.
- Responds to foster care referrals in a timely fashion and
facilitates placement of children in local Columbus/Central Ohio
network.
- Maintains and supports network foster families and coordinates
respite care, as needed.
- Facilitates and/or coordinates behavioral health services for
children in the network through conducting mental health
assessments, individual treatment plans, and providing
psychotherapy and CPST services, according to each child's
individual needs. Provides timely documentation of all clinical
services in Carelogic in accordance with agency requirements.
- Facilitates placement needs for youth and provides and/or
coordinates case management services as needed in order to provide
support for foster family and aids county with child's permanency
needs.
- Conducts, at minimum, monthly foster home visits with
children/youth and families in the foster home, monitoring and
communicating progress to placing agency through monthly reports,
phone calls, and Semi-Annual Reviews.
- Provides and/or coordinates on-call, 24/7 support to families
in the Columbus/Central Ohio area network.
- Conducts family team meetings for purposes of preserving
child's placement in foster home.
- Facilitates and or assists with completion of adoption
paperwork for children who are being adopted by their foster
families.Other duties may be assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None.QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an

LICENSING, and OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Required for this position:
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited
university and no less than an independent social work license
(LISW) in the State of Ohio
- No less than 3-5 years of experience working in child welfare
(private agency preferred) and behavioral health sectors, which
includes experience with foster care recruitment and licensing
(conducting initial home studies, recertifications, etc.)
- Demonstrated proficiency with SACWIS
- No less than 3-5 years of experience providing foster care
training (both pre-placement/pre-service and ongoing)
- Competency and experience delivering behavioral health services
to children and families through provision of Mental Health
Assessments, psychotherapy and CPST/Case Management services
- NPI number and CAQH account
- Enrolled as a provider to bill Ohio MedicaidLANGUAGE &
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Excellent verbal and written communication
skills are required. Ability to effectively present information and
respond to questions/common inquiries from employees, regulatory
and other agencies, families, clients, donors, and the public.
Ability to effectively present information to a wide variety of
audiences, and presentation of training or other materials must be
organized for or other materials must be organized for effective
retention. Must be a good listener, effective communicator, fast
learner and integrator of information; experienced working with a
wide variety of personalities and work environments; and have
strong ability to prioritize projects to effectively manage
workload. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business
periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or
governmental regulations. Ability to write professional quality
reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.REASONING
ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts,
and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive
variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form
and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to
apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and
proportions to practical situations.COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform
this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in
Microsoft Office, Internet and e-mail. Ability to easily navigate
SACWIS is required. Knowledge of database software is helpful.
Ability to quickly learn and proficiently use other software is
