Our client, a non-asset transportation company is seeking an
experienced National Sales Director who will be responsible of
directing sales efforts to expand the organizations customer base
for their complete offering of transportation solutions.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, generating new
business, ensuring sales targets are met or exceeded across all
business lines, and working closely with internal and external
customers. You will have full operational for your business as our
client would like you to focus on sales and building your
business.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop, execute and monitor strategic and tactical goals to
maximize profitable sales and to ensure sales targets are met or
exceeded.
Manage an active sales program, developing and revising steps of
the sales process from prospect to close.
Provide a solution-based sales approach to drive new business
across multiple lines of business including but not limited to: Dry
van, Flatbed, LTL, Open-deck, Refrigeration, Oversized, End dump
etc .
Proactively seek and develop strategies to develop new revenue
opportunities.
Negotiate contracts and rate agreements, including Request for
Information and Request for Proposal.
Manage accounts, ensure accounts receivable and contract terms are
being followed.
Ensure all proper documentation collected from customers.
Analyze opportunities/projects/industry patterns to identify new
clients and develop tailor maid solutions to each.
Provide consistent reporting and analysis; territory trending,
sales reports/analysis, CRM reports, expense reports, etc.
Collaborate with peers to ensure cross functional support towards
revenue goals.
Communicate on a consistent basis by various means (in person one
on one meeting, team meetings, via email, etc.) with internal teams
and customers.
Job Requirements:
Previously sales experience selling transportation brokerage
solutions
Strong business knowledge of the transportation market and
customers.
Previously sold transportation solutions ideally non-asset 3PL
brokerage
Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience required
Passion for sales, work ethic and a drive to succeed
Hunter - direct contributor
Ability to build strong relationships
Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
Attention to detail and strong analytical ability
Willingness to travel, as needed
Being successful working in a team environment
5 years or more of sales experience in the transportation
industry
