Position OverviewThis role oversees and manages all global
broad-based compensation-related activities. Assists with the
overall strategy and leads the implementation, communication,
administration and legislative compliance of Hexion's global
compensation programs, policies and processes in support of
Hexion's business strategy. Ensures internal equity, external
competitiveness and compliance with applicable regulations and
policies. Continuously assesses market practices, trends and
regulatory environments related to compensation program and
partners with the Total Rewards COE to integrate these elements

ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions:
- Continually evaluates, modifies, and administers compensation
policies to ensure programs are current, competitive, aligned with
the overall compensation philosophy and in compliance with legal
requirements.
- Leads and manages a variety of annual programs to include
annual salary planning, quarterly and annual corporate incentive
compensation program (ICP) data validation, local incentive
administration, SOX incentive plan narrative, market pricing and
salary structure review, long-term programs administration, equity
administration (SCIPS), year-end analysis, or other compensation
related programs.
- Manages and administers employee compensation programs to
include, job classification systems and defines job levels and
families, in partnership with HR Partners and managers.
- Leads, and/or collaborates with the Total Rewards team on, a
variety of projects, including program redesign, ad-hoc analysis,
policy reviews, cross-functional project teams, and implementation
of new programs.
- Participates in a variety of compensation surveys and builds
internal competitive data.
- Partners with HRIS and IT staff to ensure the SAP system meets
compensation needs and is updated to reflect changes to salary
structures, ICP programs, etc.
- Consults at all levels of the organization across multiple
stakeholders on issues and decisions that require extensive
knowledge of compensation strategies, policies, programs and
practices.
- Consults with HR Partners and management to devise strategies
to solve medium to complex problems. Problems can range in impact
from global to local, many associates to few, regarding any area in
the compensation discipline.
- Ability to lead implementation of a new strategy and 'sell'
ideas and concepts.
- Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of
internal and external customers; establishes and maintains
effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and
respect.
- Creative, analytical thinking and results-driven orientation
demonstrated through the ability to draw conclusions and trends
from data analysis. Ability to conduct and interpret complex
analyses and reporting requirements to determine efficient
solutions.Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Human Resources, Business
Administration, Finance or a related discipline from an accredited
four-year college or university, or equivalent experience.
- Seven or more years of experience in the analysis, design
and/or administration of compensation programs.
- Functional experience in Excel
- Must be able to collaborate and work well in team
environment.
- Must have drive and desire to own programs, processes,
consultancy, etc.
- Capable of effectively managing complex projects with little to
no guidance.
- Ability to work across the globe with people of different
cultures, generations and experience levels.
- Significant experience in written and verbal communication and
should be capable of communicating effectively to all levels within
and outside the company. Ability to present/communicate impact and
findings to various levels of associates in an accurate and timely
manner.Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), SHRM Certified
Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional
(SHRM-SCP) credential.
- Experience with SAP and/or SuccessFactors
- Experience with change management, corporate-wide
communications and adept at Communication (educating, managing
conflict, and influencing)
- Ability to demonstrate agilityEducation Requirements
