Job Description:

This chemical manufacturing company has a safety program that is constantly improving and they are looking to a new HSE&S Manager to their team!Responsibilities:

• Develop the vision/strategy for continuous improvement of HSES performances throughout the site
• Ensure alignment of personal and process safety strategies
• Execute a plan to continually reduce the overall risk profile of the site
• Develop and implement performance indicators to monitor
• Continuously improve HSES Management Systems (aligned with ISO 14001 and Responsible Care)
• Ensure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations (National/Regional/Site) including environmental, security and transportation
• Maintain and HSES management system in compliance with corporate standards
• Ensure effective implementation of the Security and Fire Protection Programs
• Manage annual HSES Budget of site
• Corrective Action Plan Monitoring
• Support corporate HSES initiatives
• Help develop corporate HSES standards and compliance auditsRequirements:
  • 15+ years of combined EHS and Regulatory experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Comfortable working with conflicting priorities
  • Effective communication skills - verbal, written & presentation
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with members of the leadership team
  • In-depth knowledge of Process Safety Management
  • Knowledge of functional safety including risk assessment tools such as HAZOP and LOPA
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, CSP, CIH, or other registration/certification desired
  • Experience within chemical manufacturing
