(Open)Job Description:The Manager, Strategic Marketing will serve a
critical leadership role in Strategic Marketing supporting the PPS
business unit. Position provides leadership for and execution of
analysis of sales and marketing content focused on building our
relationship with existing and prospective customers. This
growth-driving role will collaborate and lead a wide variety of
global stakeholders and SMEs to develop and deliver sales readiness
and marketing content that engages Greif's diverse customer base
across multiple distribution channels. In addition to owning PPS
market segment content, the role will lead other Strategic
Marketing initiatives across PPS such as formulating customer,
substrate and industry insights, defining and executing lead
generation initiatives, gathering and sharing market and
competitive intelligence. The candidate will be a developing
collaborator, influencer, and communicator across all key
channels.Key Responsibilities:PPS Strategic Marketing
LeadershipServes as the primary Strategic Marketing liaison between
Strategic Marketing/Global Marketing Team and PPSCollaborate with
PPS business and sales leaders to establish strategic marketing
priorities and timingPPS Market Segment ContentSupport development
of market segment content strategy; drive for PPS ongoing content
planning, develop/manage content creation and report on results of
impactOversee PPS market segment sales content and sales readiness
tools to ensure consistency of execution, optimization based on
feedback/insights and integration with omnichannel marketing
planLead cross functional team of Product Managers, functional SMEs
and Sales to define and develop segment contentEngage with
customers to inform strategy and content needs, including
understanding their key influencer organizations/publications/trade
showsLeverage Seismic and other tools to continually evaluate
utilization and effectiveness of segment content marketing; evolve
as necessaryDevelop and monitor annual budgets for content
development/management, nurture campaigns and related VoC research
for PPS BUPPS Segment MarketingFor assigned industries, lead
cross-functional and cross-regional teams to gain in-depth
understanding (globally and within each region) to establish
recommended organization actions + marketing strategy to drive
growth in segmentLead quarterly industry council meetings for
assigned market segments, elevate opportunities/risks, report out
insights and necessary actionsDefine Greif's value proposition for
each market segment served Identify and define need for new
products/services or business models to drive growth within PPS
market segments; support development of business case for
activation Leverage a variety of market research tools to gain
Voice of Customer to understand segment's unmet needs/values, gaps
in current offerings and Greif's differentiators Partner with PPS
MarCom and sales leaders to define optimal packaging solutions for
each market segment, differentiated by region Collaborate with PPS
MarComm to develop substrate marketing campaigns and sales toolPPS
Lead Generation & Account-Based MarketingDefine with PPS business
and sales leaders on key lead gen priorities; develop and drive top
of the funnel lead generation initiativesCollaborate with PPS
MarCom to develop nurture campaigns that continue to move leads
through the funnel until they become qualified sales leads; monitor
ROI and adapt campaigns accordinglySupport account-based marketing
strategy and learn & earn initiativePPS Market & Competitive
IntelligenceProactively engage sales organization to curate market
and competitive intel; become a trusted partnerPartner with sales
and operations to define market segment competitor
activitiesProvide ideation and support to development of market and
competitive intelligence hubCommunicationsFosters a collaborative,
integrated working relationship between the Global Marketing Team,
innovation, sales, operations, sustainability, IT, Finance, Legal,
Quality, etc. to jointly achieve the business strategy and growth
objectivesInform, present and gain commitment of key initiatives
with PPLT, Global Marketing Team and ELTPerforms other duties as
assignedEducation: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or
Communications. MBA or Master's in Marketing a plus5-7 years'
experience in marketing, marketing strategy and/or marketing
content3 years' experience managing complex initiatives across
matrix organizations a plusKnowledge and Skills: Ability to
collaborate and drive activities with key functions such as Sales,
Operations, Engineering, and InnovationKnowledge of and experience
with emerging content development/sharing tools and sales readiness
strategiesKnowledge of and experience with developing customer and
market insights and lead generation initiativesAbility to source
and leverage data and primary/secondary research to develop
insights and strategic recommendationsExperience with B2B marketing
strategy and development of omni channel marketing
plansCollaborative, curious, and able to find solutions to
ambiguous problems or situationsExcellent written and oral
communication skillsAbility to influence and persuadeExcellent
attention to detailDeveloping business acumen and strategic
agilityExcellent customer awareness and customer service
skillsFluent in English required; ability to speak Spanish a
