Controls team provides oversight and guidance so that the business
delivers Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know-Your-Customer (KYC)
strategies to assure our product and our customer base are fully
compliant with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), PATRIOT Act and FINRA
requirements. An AML/KYC Controls Project Manager partners closely
with various groups within CCB, including Area Product Groups,
Operations and Technology to deliver ongoing system requirements
for capturing, reporting and monitoring compliance with regulatory
standards. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead a team of 4-7 project managers; Assess team capacity and
assign projects appropriately
- Lead and/or manage best-in-class AML/KYC programs/initiatives,
from end-to-end including design, development, implementation,
review and reporting, addressing AML/KYC risks and controls, and
communicating ongoing status to Senior/Executive AML
Management.
- Own responsibility for Initiative timelines, deliverables.
- Understand, coordinate and manage interdependencies between
applications/products as part of Initiative execution.
- Provide research and analytical recommendations to facilitate
the creation of Business and/or Technology Requirement
Documents.
- Prepare reports and presentations for assigned projects to
senior management.
- Provide key direction and leadership to drive the
implementation of key change management activities and ongoing
support, partnering across CCB lines of businesses as well as
coordinating with Compliance, Controls partners, Legal and GFCC,
etc.
- Positively and creatively influence change and champion
mission-critical change initiatives; prepare and help others to
anticipate and manage through change.
- Review and analyze critical issues/errors, assessing the
business risk and impact, to facilitate proper recommendations and
escalation to senior management.
- Resolve high-level conflicts by making broad decisions and
often, negotiating with affected senior management. Qualifications:
- 7+ years of financial services experience, ideally with some
knowledge of controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management or
AML/KYC
- People leadership experience strongly preferred, but if not, a
desire and passion to lead people
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Visio) required and data analytics preferred using Excel and Access
skills
- Ability to understand the business / knowledge of regulation
surrounding business
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an
ability to influence business leaders in a meaningful and
actionable manner; able to synthesize and articulate complex topics
into simple, clear communications to all levels of the
organization
- Ability to understand a process and associated risks to inform
control design
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, exceptional collaboration and
relationship building skills
- Work autonomously to affect change - flexible, adaptable to
shifting priorities; manage competing priorities to achieve the
most effective result; Able to thrive in a fast-paced,
results-driven environment
- Evidence of leadership, initiative, accountability,
productivity and teamwork required
- Strong strategic and analytic thinking skills combined with an
attention to detail; ability to understand root causes/ identify
control breaks
- Ability to lead a complex project from start to finish,
influencing colleagues over which you have no direct authority
