About the Role
The Senior Manager, Master Data Management is the global leader
responsible for strategic coordination and management of activities
related to reference & master data, metadata, and data quality with
the goal of leveraging data as an asset. This includes development
of data lifecycle management policies and processes; and managing
data catalog and master data management software solutions. In this
role, you will lead a small team of Global Data Stewards and Global
Data Analysts. We will rely on you to be a leading voice in the
cross-functional Master Data Management Group, which includes data
owners and data stewards at select functions.
Although top notch technical skills are expected, we are looking
for somebody who can lead the implementation of a global master
data management practice and identify opportunities to add value
and usability of data assets through data quality guarantees and
through the incorporation and use of open standards and external
standardized data.
The role will directly report to the Director, Global Data
Governance (GDG). The GDG team is part of the CFO organization and
provides key contributions to enterprise and global data governance
goals in alignment with overall business strategy. This is a

Several locations have been listed for marketing purposes but only
one position is available. This role can be performed in Loveland
CO or remote as applicable. Key Responsibilities
General Areas of Responsibility:
Work in close collaboration with domain data owners and data
stewards at business functions and the GDG organization to develop
data quality frameworks, processes, metrics, and policy adherence
mechanisms.
Lead development of enterprise practices on management of Reference
& Master Data, Metadata, Data Quality, and Data Harmonization that
are informed by business priorities
Guide review of business processes and lead development of
specification documents and UAT processes to guarantee information
delivery in efficient and effective ways.
Lead selection, implementation, and operation of data catalog and
master data management software (e.g., Talend, Informatica, Reltio,
Profisee, etc.)
Mentor and coach junior team members on data management & data
services best practices
Own and drive end to end process documentation on all data domains
while looking for opportunities to implement and leverage industry
and international standards where appropriate.
Collaborate with Enterprise and Data Architecture and Business
Intelligence teams to ensure alignment with other global data
governance areas of practice (e.g., Data Architecture, Data
Modelling, Data Storage & Operations, Security, Data Integration &
Interoperability, Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, and
Analytics).
Technical Expertise:
Understanding of Data Governance and the role of a successful MDM
practice including data quality and privacy regulations (e.g.,
GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
Provides detailed advice regarding systems, applications, and
implementation of processes and systems following best practices
(e.g., Data Management Association standards, and FAIR data
principles).
Provides insights on international and industry standards for
diverse data domains, usability opportunities, and potential ROI
derived from their implementation (e.g., NAICS, UNSPC, ISO, HS,
DUNS #, etc.)
Advises on the implementation of general-purpose ontologies where
applicable (e.g., FIBO, CDISC, QUDT, etc.)
Academic and professional expertise on design, implementation, and
management of ontologies, hierarchies, and catalogs, as well as
taxonomy and semantic linkage development and implementation on
multiple domains.
Understanding of ETL/ELT/API based Integration patterns for Data
Services and MDM.
Requirements Definition and Management:
Facilitates scoping and business priority setting for complex
changes, engaging senior stake holders as required.
Selects most appropriate means of representing and managing
business requirements in the context of the specific change
initiative relating to product/project delivery.
Drives requirement definitions where necessary and identifies which
stakeholder and customer input is required.
Leads UAT processes and obtains formal agreement from key
stakeholders on product/project requirements deliverables and the
impact to the business.
Assists in more complex requirements activities and with the
processes for establishing agreed baselines for change and managing
the assessment and application of requested changes to those
requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate degree in Library and Information Science, Computer
Science, Business Intelligence, Information Science, MBA with IT
focus, or related
5+ years of professional experience demonstrating success leading
master data management programs in global organizations
required
Demonstrated mastery of MDM concepts, benefits, best practices &
challenges; High level of expertise on Data Catalog and Master Data
Management software solutions (e.g., Talend, Informatica, Profisee,
Reltio, etc.) required
Proven experience leading implementation of master data management
in multiple domains at global scale required
Track record of delivering results in a global matrixed
organization with energy and integrity
Certifications including Project Management Certification (PMP),
Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Lean Six Sigma,
would be an asset
Willingness to travel nationally and/or internationally about 20%
of the time; multilingual capabilities strong plus (eg: French,
German, Mandarin, Spanish, Portuguese, etc.)
The salary for this role is $140,000 -$160,000 USD. This is the
range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible
compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may
ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is
only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range
may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
