Now, our mission is to bring this technology to veterinarians and their clients worldwide.This role can me 100% remote.SUMMARYThe Security Project Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing projects related to compliance and conformance across Covetrus' custom software development projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, DevOps, compliance, and business stakeholders, to ensure the successful implementation and maintenance security program requirements across the organization.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute project plans to achieve compliance objectives within defined timelines and budget constraints.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Conduct risk assessments and coordinate risk mitigation strategies to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • Work closely with business units, DevOps, and security to identify and address any gaps in processes or systems that may impact compliance.
  • Manage and track project progress, ensuring timely completion of tasks and milestones.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors for compliance assessments and audits.
  • Stay up to date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to the appropriate standards.
  • Provide regular project status updates and reports to management and stakeholders.QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study, or equivalent work experience.
    • 5 years proven experience as a project manager.
    • 5 years' experience with agile development environments.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • Familiarity with security controls, vulnerability assessments, and risk management methodologies preferred.COMPETENCIES (Skills and Abilities):
      • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, network security, and software development life cycle (SDLC) concepts.
      • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
      • Familiarity with security control frameworks (NIST CSF, PCI-DSS, SOC II, etc.)
      • Information Security certifications encouraged, but not required
      • Experience working in a regulated industry, such as healthcare or finance, is a plus.
