JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW The EVP of Sales is a sales leader who builds, develops and inspires a high performing sales team that consistently achieves and exceeds sales quotas. As a member of the Executive Team, you will be responsible for achieving overall company booking goals for the Americas. The EVP of Sales will own both strategic and tactical sales initiatives while actively supporting internal initiatives with operations and finance.The EVP leads a team of approximately 20 Americas-based FTE's including roles of VP(s), Directors, and Regional Managers across 3 divisions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES----Participate in annual and quarterly strategic planning; develop and implement annual and quarterly sales plans to achieve bookings goals and revenue targets. Partner with CEO to craft effective revenue growth strategies across markets and product segments.Define initial and ongoing sales performance measures, metrics and KPIs used to determine the success of the Sales team.Define and execute sales plans to ensure predictable, repeatable, and scalable revenue performance.Report on all sales results (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually) and pipeline routinely.Analyze all aspects of sales data and rep productivity data to provide actionable recommendations. Develop and manage a successful sales organization that delivers exceptional results; achieve revenue goals in all markets Maintain a high level of understanding of the market landscape, competitive insights, consumer trends across markets and use knowledge to advance sales strategies and communicate to the field.Build an agile sales structure that aligns talent with business needs and provides opportunities for growth and development across levels.Design and implement initiatives/programs to improve sales execution and effectiveness.Establish a process to evaluate and understand challenges, obstacles, and gaps in the market, and provide effective strategies to fill in those gapsCreate a high performing team by training, coaching and developing sales executives in all aspects of their role; motivate by supporting individual/team learning and growth; recognize and reward performance by celebrating wins. Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:--Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.Proven ability to influence C-level executives and help direct reports drive new client business.Significant track record of success developing, managing and executing sales strategies within capital equipment-based markets. This includes expertise in creating and managing budgets, external resources and relationships.Sales skills - Fearless, results-oriented prospecting, qualification, verbal presentation, negotiation and closing.Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, superior time management skills and ability to work with minimal supervision are essential.Proven work experience as an EVP of Sales or VP of Sales with multiple marketsBachelor's degree required, MBA preferredExperience with sales strategy planning and execution, sales operations, business planning, and sales support managementSelf-motivated and entrepreneurial; a leader as well as doer and a subject matter expert.Candidate MUST live in Columbus, Ohio area
