Job Description:
The Caregiver Support/CFTSI Clinician is responsible for
providing follow-up mental health interventions and referrals to
families of patients who have experienced child abuse or other
trauma. This position will provide Caregiver Support, to include
clinical guidance, psychoeducation, other necessary wraparound
care, and Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI) to
eligible families. The Caregiver Support/ CFTSI Clinician must
demonstrate competency in appropriate use of mental health
interventions when working with children and adults and will
provide culturally competent services in all areas.

--- Provides follow-up care to families and patients and
demonstrates the appropriate use of brief mental health
interventions when working with children, parents and/or
caregivers.
--- Completes screening tools to determine eligibility for CFTSI
and provides CFTSI per Yale recommended guidelines.
--- Participates in clinical supervision, staff meetings, and other
quality assurance processes relevant to the position.
--- Demonstrates awareness of diversity issues and provides
culturally sensitive services to children and families.
--- Demonstrates commitment to ongoing professional development by
participating in proactive goal setting, maintaining appropriate
licensure, and participating in education/training
opportunities.
--- Documents clinical practice in accordance with TCFSH, Joint
Commission, funding agency requirements, Yale and other appropriate
standards. Maintains timely records.
Education:
Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling, required.
Licensure:
Independent Ohio licensure preferred (LISW, PCC), required.
Skills:
--- Demonstrated skills in managing mental healthcare to children
and families.
--- Crisis intervention skills including suicide assessment and
response
--- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal
skills to establish and maintain positive relationships with
internal and external customers.
--- Ability to provide family violence intervention and work as
part of a multidisciplinary team.
--- Ability to be dually trained and demonstrate flexibility in the
Caregiver Support and CFTSI Clinician roles.
--- Ability to work with confidential information.
Experience:
--- 2 years' experience working with children and their families
with an emphasis on trauma preferred
--- Familiarity with youth and family/social services/ mental
health agencies within the region, desired.
--- Basic understanding of sexual victimization and domestic
violence.
