Job Description:

The Interventional Radiological Technologist performs invasive angiographic/cardiovascular/interventional imaging procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury. In addition, the position provides patient education and performs quality assessment activities for the division, under the direction of the Imaging Manager.Ensures department(s) operates within practice standards and meet minimum standards of American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Ohio Department of Health (ODH), American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and other regulatory agencies, i.e., American College of Radiology (ACR), Joint Commission (JC), Ohio Department of Health (ODH). Practices within the Medical Center's policies and procedures. Adheres to the Intensive Caring Value statements as demonstrated through positive patient/guest relations, positive and effective interactions with staff, and formulating and meeting developmental goals.Minimum QualificationsCurrent Radiography license, ARRT (R) required. Current Radiography ODH license required. Previous interventional radiology experience is preferred. Individual must obtain ACLS certification in addition to BLS/RQI certification prior to orientation completion. Advanced registry in VI preferred.Maintains registry & licensing status; meets mandatory education and health surveillance requirements.
