Radiation Oncology - Casual / PRNPosition Purpose:Casual RN Spec
Radiation Oncology: The Radiation Oncology RN Specialist oversees
and coordinates nursing care for the patients in the department,
providing ongoing and episodic case management to patients and
families undergoing cancer care and treatment with referrals to
other disciplines and programs as appropriate. In addition, they
provide physical assessment and education for radiation side
effects for pain and symptom management. Requirements:
- Education: Graduate from school of nursing
- Licensure / Certification: Current license to practice as a
Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio required.
- Experience: A minimum of two years recent and relevant clinical
experience in Oncology. Certified as an oncology nurse (OCN) or
hospice nurse (CRNH) preferred.
- Effective Communication Skills
- Demonstrates a broad knowledge of nursing and the ability to
apply new skills and techniques.
- Able to perform professional duties with minimal
supervision.
- Demonstrates ability to make decisions, initiates action under
stress and in critical situations.
- Possesses a high level of professionalism and the ability to
establish good rapport with patients, staff, and physicians.
- Computer literate with attention to detail.
- Current BLS certification required.Position Highlights and
