Registered Nurse Job Details - Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Ohio nursing jobs) - Healthcare Setting: Surgical Oncology – Mixed Acuity (Med/Surg & Progressive Care Unit) - Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Contract Duration: 16 weeks (Start: December 1, 2025 – End: March 23, 2026) - Shift: 12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30) - Hours per Week: 36 - Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,940 - $1,990 - Scheduling: Self-scheduling requests; variable weekends based on unit needs - Orientation: 1 week Mon–Fri dayshift, followed by 36 hours on-unit with a preceptor Registered Nurse Qualifications - Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience (surgical oncology experience preferred) - Active Registered Nurse license (compact RN license or Ohio RN license required) - Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program - BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required - ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred - Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) - Ability to float to other acute care oncology units as needed - Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership) Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities - Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric surgical oncology patients in a fast-paced, mixed-acuity hospital unit - Care for patients with a range of surgical diagnoses: breast, thyroid, melanoma, hepatobiliary, colorectal, plastics, orthopedic, and cardiothoracic surgeries - Administer chemotherapy, blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, insulin, and heparin drips - Respond to oncologic emergencies, including cytokine release syndrome - Deliver chest tube care and tracheostomy management - Implement infection prevention and fall prevention protocols - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, social services, etc.) - Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR - Participate in self-scheduling and adapt to variable weekend/holiday coverage as needed Apply now to join our healthcare team in Columbus, Ohio!
