Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/01/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU night position in Ohio, requiring a compact or OH RN license and at least 2 years of PCU experience. Responsibilities - Work in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a hospital setting - Night shifts, 3x12 hours per week, 19:00 to 07:30 - Estimated patient ratios are 1:3 - Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity - EPIC EMR is used and previous experience is required - Rotating holiday coverage is required - Must be responsive and cooperative with credentialing and Ohio fingerprinting process - Travelers residing outside Ohio but within driving distance must complete in-state fingerprinting promptly after booking - Time off requests must be included with initial application - Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers Requirements - Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration - Minimum 2 years of recent PCU experience required - Current BLS and ACLS certifications required - Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry required - Experience with EPIC charting system required - Degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program required - Two professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or formal leader - Previous travel nursing experience preferred - Must not be a current employee of any Ohio State University hospital location - Former employees must have a minimum 6-month separation before accepting a travel assignment Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-622452.
