Join Oral and Facial Surgery for Central Ohio, a leading specialty clinic known for advanced surgical treatments in dental implants, facial trauma, and reconstructive surgery. We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Assistant who is enthusiastic about delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our surgical team with cutting-edge technology and innovative surgical procedures. Located in the heart of Columbus, OH, our clinic offers a fast-paced, supportive, and professional environment ideal for growth-oriented medical professionals. Assist surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures, including dental implants, facial reconstructions, and other specialized surgeries. Prepare operating rooms with necessary surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment, ensuring all tools are properly sterilized and assembled. Help in the positioning of patients on the operating table and prepare them for surgery, including the application of surgical drapes. Provide technical assistance to surgeons, passing instruments and providing other items as needed during operations. Maintain a sterile environment throughout surgical procedures to prevent infection. Participate in preoperative and postoperative care of patients, including transport, monitoring, and following up as needed. Work collaboratively with the surgical team to facilitate a safe and successful surgical outcome. Monitor and order supplies to maintain inventory levels in the surgical room. Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and terminology. High proficiency in maintaining sterile environments and understanding sterilization techniques. Ability to respond quickly and efficiently under pressure in a dynamic surgical setting. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
