Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/05/2026 - Duration: 12 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours - Employment Type: Travel James Clinical Resource Unit - ONC/PCU EXP - NIGHTS Minimum 2 years of high acuity PCU level or higher required! ONCOLOGY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED! Special Procedures/Unit Details: Comprehensive Cancer Center, 318 acute care beds. All inpatient units/ 36 beds. Units are specialized by cancer diagnosis. Floating to MedSurg and PCU Oncology units including: • BMT • Acute Leukemia • Hematology • Medical Oncology • PCU Oncology • Gynecological Oncology • Urology • Colorectal • Surgical Oncology • Corrections Healthcare -Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls Certifications required: • ACLS • BLS • NIHSS Staffing ratios - PCU is 1:3, can be 1:4 w/ mixed acuity, M/S Tele ideally 1:4 but can be 1:5 Weekends - variable based on unit needs No set/blocked scheduling as that is not something we offer our permanent staff Self-schedule requests - you will enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule before balancing and posting the final schedule First week of orientation is Mon - Fri dayshift.
