2/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: Float Pool Nurse Profession:
Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2
years in a MedSurgical setting License: Valid compact or state
license required Certifications: Current BCLS certification
required Must-Have: Proficient in IV start and telemetry monitoring
Ability to handle patient ratios of 1:4-5 Strong communication and
teamwork skills Excellent organizational abilities and attention to
detail Description: The Float Pool Nurse provides high-quality
nursing care to patients in a MedSurgical setting. Flexibility to
float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity as
needed. Availability for weekdays and some weekends, including
holidays is essential. Candidates must have experience with EPIC
electronic health records system. Experience with charge nurse
responsibilities preferred. Float Pool Nurse roles involve handling
various patient diagnoses and special procedures. Candidates should
possess skills in accessing and managing ports, blood product
administration, and IV management. Knowledge of basic life support
and advanced cardiac life support is beneficial. Experience in
non-invasive airway management and wound care is preferred. The
role requires proficiency in managing dysrhythmias and
understanding telemetry monitoring. Nurses will collaborate with
interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care. Candidates
must take initiative and demonstrate strong problem-solving
