Registered Nurse (RN) | Psych Location: Chillicothe, OH Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,500 per week Shift Information: Nights - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 52 Weeks Start Date: 1/10/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Occupational Health Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Staff Augmentation Duration: 52 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 or 10 hours Experience: Minimum Years of Experience required License: Active RN License in any state Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification preferred Must-Have: - Must have state ID or Driver's License - Ability to clear metal detectors Description: Provides professional nursing care to patients in a health services unit, or to individuals housed in state-operated facilities. Observes, assesses, and records symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients in infimary and outpatient settings. Makes nursing rounds and takes and records vital signs. Prepares and administers prescribed medications and treatment plans. Monitors patients requiring close observation and provides immediate medical attention in emergencies. Arranges for transportation to emergency rooms and contacts physicians when necessary. Counsels patients regarding the need for medical referrals. May schedule, assign, and review the work of lower-level staff, though this is not mandatory. Participates in staff development and education, reviewing care plans written by staff. Trains and orients new employees. In a correctional setting, is responsible for the health care of bedridden patients. Makes rounds, evaluates care needed and delivered, creates care plans, and teaches health care principles. Administers medications including narcotics and renders all direct nursing care as needed. Conducts specialized procedures such as IV therapy, wound care, and CPR. Organizes and oversees emergency response teams. Acts as the lead worker in charge of assigned shifts in the absence of higher-level nursing staff. Assists in diagnostic health evaluations and performs clerical tasks including documenting medications and treatments. Maintains inventory of controlled substances and medical supplies. Arranges for outpatient clinic appointments and medical examinations as necessary. Performs administrative tasks and serves as a liaison within the organization. Conducts and attends relevant meetings and may serve as an instructor. Participates as a member or leader of problem-solving teams or groups. Major Worker Characteristics: Knowledge of professional registered nursing procedures and related regulations. Ability to deal with concrete variables and write meaningful reports.
