CVICU RN Job Details - Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210 (Ohio nursing jobs) - Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract - Start Date: January 5, 2026 - End Date: April 6, 2026 - Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) - Hours per Week: 36 - Weekend Requirement: Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule - On-Site Position - No On-Call Required - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940-$1990 Registered Nurse Qualifications - Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required) - Minimum 2 years of recent Cardiac ICU or CVICU experience preferred - Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program - BLS and ACLS certifications (required for all travel nurse jobs) - NIHSS certification preferred - EPIC charting experience required - Previous travel nursing experience preferred - Ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity - Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) - Two professional references required (one from a manager/director or formal leader) CVICU RN Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in the Cardiovascular ICU, including post-cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery patients - Monitor and manage patients with advanced cardiac devices (VADs, ECMO, IABP, Impella, Total Artificial Heart) - Perform IV starts, ventilator care, telemetry, Swan-Ganz catheter monitoring, and balloon pump management - Administer and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips - Assist with chest tube insertion/removal, arterial line management, and post-surgical care - Interpret arterial blood gases and cardiac dysrhythmias - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy) - Float to other critical care units as needed - Maintain accurate clinical documentation using EPIC Apply now to join our Columbus healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
