qualified Med/Surg RN in Columbus, Ohio, 43085! About The Position
Registered Nurse/MS/Tele: Duration:13 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour
(07:00 - 19:30) Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Description:
Provides patient care in a combined Medical-Surgical and Telemetry
unit. Monitors vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and responds to
changes in patient conditions. Administers medications, treatments,
and assists in recovery plans. Collaborates with healthcare teams
to ensure patient safety and effective care. Staffing Ratios - Goal
is 1:4, but can be 1:5 Weekends - variable based on unit needs No
set/blocked scheduling as that is not something we offer our
permanent staff If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be
scheduled for days, nights, or a combination of both, depending on
the department’s needs. Shift assignments are reviewed every 4-week
scheduling period, but changes are not guaranteed and are based on
staffing priorities at that time. Self-schedule requests - you will
enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule
before balancing and posting the final schedule First week of
orientation is Mon - Fri dayshift. Second week is 36hrs of on-unit
orientation with a preceptor 2 Years of Experience Required Patient
Age group • Adults • Geriatrics Patient Diagnoses • Surgical
Oncology: breast, thyroid, melanoma • Hepatobiliary: liver,
pancreas, spleen, biliary tract cancers, neuroendocrine •
Colorectal: colon, rectal cancer • Plastics: reconstructive breast
cancer or sarcoma Special Procedures/Unit Details • Chemotherapy •
Blood transfusions • IV Antibiotics • Oncologic emergencies •
cytokine release syndrome • Insulin drips • Heparin drips • Heavy
focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls
Certifications Required • BLS Certifications Preferred • ONS Chemo
