Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry – Ohio Start Date: February 9, 2026 Location: Columbus, Ohio Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (Night Shift) Highlights: - Acute care ortho trauma unit with progressive care patients - Patient ratio of 1:4 on night shift - 72 hours of orientation provided - EPIC charting system in use - 29-bed unit with daily census of approximately 28 patients - Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams Requirements: - Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical / Telemetry experience required - Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of application) - BLS and ACLS certifications required - IV certification required - EPIC charting experience required - Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program - Previous charge experience and Trauma Level I experience preferred - Strong skills in IV starts, patient monitoring, medication administration, and patient education - Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias - Willingness to float to different units within the organization as needed - 2 professional references required (at least 1 from a manager or director) - Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work in a dynamic acute care environment caring for ortho trauma and progressive care patients with diverse diagnoses including fractures, traumatic brain injuries, surgical complications, and respiratory conditions.
