Self-scheduling requests available. Patient ratios of 1:3 for PCU and 1:4-5 for Med-Surg Telemetry. 36-bed oncology telemetry unit with over 24 PCU-level beds. Highlights: - 36-bed Oncology Telemetry unit specializing in solid tumor, orthopedic oncology, and thoracic oncology patients - High-acuity progressive care environment with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams - Self-scheduling system allowing you to enter preferred schedule requests before final schedule posting - Epic charting system with GE telemetry monitoring, Alaris pumps, and modern equipment - Strong emphasis on infection prevention protocols and evidence-based patient safety practices - Comprehensive orientation: first week Monday-Friday dayshift, second week 36 hours on-unit with preceptor Requirements: - Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission) - 2 years of high-acuity PCU patient care experience required - Current certifications: BLS (BCLS), ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale - Epic charting system experience required - Previous travel nursing experience preferred - Oncology experience preferred but not required - Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program - 2 professional references required (at least 1 from manager/director or formal leadership role) - Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity - Required clinical skills: dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy, port access, blood product administration, central/PICC line management, feeding tube care, cardiac drip management, PCA pumps, chest tube management, respiratory support (CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula), tracheostomy care, and ABG interpretation - Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only) Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work in a specialized oncology progressive care environment where you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients facing complex diagnoses.
