Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Maternal - Newborn - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Opportunity – Postpartum Registered Nurse – Ohio Start Date: February 9, 2026 Location: Columbus, Ohio Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts per week (36 hours), every other weekend required Highlights: - Family-centered postpartum unit caring for mothers and healthy newborns, including NAS infants - Patient ratio of 3-4 dyads (6-8 patients) per shift - EPIC charting system with 36 hours of orientation provided - 40-bed inpatient unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams - Opportunity to float to units of similar acuity within the organization - Two pre-approved time-off periods available (note: no RTO between 2/15/26 - 2/28/26) Requirements: - Minimum 2 years of postpartum nursing experience required - Current BLS and NRP certifications - IV start skills and Labor & Delivery experience required - EPIC charting experience required - Telemetry interpretation skills required; EKG exam must be passed prior to start - Valid compact or Ohio state RN license in hand at time of submission - Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program - Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership) - Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Preferred Qualifications: - Previous travel nursing experience Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to provide comprehensive, family-centered care to postpartum mothers and their newborns in a well-supported 40-bed unit.
