Job Opportunity – Medical Oncology Nurse – Ohio Start Date: February 23, 2026 Location: Columbus, Ohio Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: 12-hour Day/Night Rotating shifts, self-scheduling with variable weekends based on unit needs, 1:4–1:5 patient ratios Highlights: Comprehensive oncology care for solid tumor cancers across the full spectrum of the cancer journey Self-scheduling system allowing you to submit your preferred schedule requests every 4-week period Epic EMR system with telemetry monitoring capabilities Strong interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services 72-hour orientation program with dedicated preceptor support Oncology experience preferred but not required – training provided Requirements: Current RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission) Minimum 2 years of nursing experience BLS certification required Epic charting system experience required Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred Skills in telemetry interpretation, IV management, central line care, blood product administration, and chemotherapy administration 2 professional references required (1 must be from manager/director or formal leadership) Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program Willingness to float to other Medical-Surgical Oncology units Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on cancer patients and their families during critical moments in their healthcare journey, from diagnosis through treatment and beyond.
