Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Oncology Progressive Care Unit – Ohio Start Date: February 9, 2026 Location: Columbus, Ohio Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Schedule: Night shift (day/night option available), 36 hours per week; self-scheduling requests available; 1:3 ratio for PCU patients, 1:4-5 ratio for Med-Surg Telemetry patients Highlights: 36-bed Oncology Telemetry unit with over 24 beds dedicated to progressive care level of care High-acuity PCU environment with solid tumor, orthopedic oncology, and thoracic oncology patients Self-scheduling requests honored to support work-life balance Comprehensive two-week orientation: first week Monday-Friday dayshift, second week 36 hours on-unit with preceptor Oncology experience preferred but not required; focus on high-acuity PCU skills Epic charting system with strong interdisciplinary support including rapid response teams, pharmacy, and respiratory services Requirements: Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission) Minimum 2 years of high-acuity PCU patient experience required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale Epic charting experience required Required skills: dysrhythmia interpretation, accessing ports, blood product administration, central/peripheral/PICC line management, IV starts, feeding tube care, PCA pumps, cardiac drip management, chest tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation, tracheostomy management Previous travel experience preferred Willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program 2 professional references required (at least one from formal leadership) Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work in a specialized oncology progressive care environment where you'll care for complex, high-acuity patients while being supported by a strong interdisciplinary team.
