Are you an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgeon seeking flexible, rewarding locum opportunities? We are seeking a highly skilled physician to provide call coverage at a full-service acute care hospital in Springfield, Ohio. This position requires a dedicated professional to handle a diverse caseload of adult cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgeries. Required Skills: Board Certification in Cardiothoracic or Vascular Surgery Valid Medical License in Ohio or eligible for licensure Proven experience with surgeries such as CABG, valve repairs, aneurysm repairs, lung resections, and vascular procedures Proficiency in ventilation management and bronchoscopy Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Nice to Have Skills: Experience working in a hospital setting with EPIC documentation system Prior locum or temporary staffing experience Ability to manage complex cases and multitask efficiently Familiarity with critical care management Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Completed residency in General Surgery with specialization in Cardiothoracic Surgery At least 3 years of surgical practice experience in a hospital environment Previous experience in a similar locum role is advantageous Other Requirements: Availability for scheduled shifts between March 13 and May 25, 2026 Active Ohio medical license or eligibility Certifications in ACLS, ATLS preferred Ability to manage on-call duties effectively Willingness to adhere to hospital policies and documentation standards This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to patient care in a respected facility, enjoy competitive pay at $19.50/hour, and benefit from a supportive team dedicated to your success.
