Details - Mixed acuity unit serving both PCU and Med/Surg patients - Oncology patient population - Patient ratio of 1:5 - Shift schedule is nights (3x12, 19:00–07:30), though rotating day/night scheduling is possible based on departmental needs and is reviewed every 4-week scheduling period - Required skills include IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and tracheostomy management - Epic EMR experience required - Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity Requirements - Active OH or Compact RN license required - Minimum 2 years of RN experience required - Current BLS certification required - Epic EMR experience required - Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry, and tracheostomy management required - Oncology experience preferred but not required - Previous travel nursing experience preferred Additional Information - Orientation consists of one week of Mon–Fri day shift training followed by a second week of 36 hours of on-unit orientation with a preceptor - Travelers are able to submit self-schedule requests prior to the final schedule being posted - No 30-day break between assignments is required when changing representation (except for Sterile Processing Techs) - 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration - All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at time of consideration American Traveler Job ID P-682840.
