TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified
PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Columbus, Ohio, 43210! Job Title: Registered

Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2
years in a similar role preferred License: Valid nursing license
required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, CCRN preferred
Must-Have: Experience in Level 1 Trauma Experience with telemetry
and ventilators Description: The Registered Nurse will provide
high-quality care to patients in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit
(PACU). The position requires handling a patient ratio of 2:1
during day and night shifts. Ability to recognize and manage
dysrhythmias is essential. The nurse will also be responsible for
blood product administration and central line care and management.
Administering IV vasopressors and narcotics/opioid analgesics is
required. Knowledge of reversal agents and care for ventilated
patients is needed. The nurse will perform conscious sedation and
post-epidural management. Familiarity with various anesthesia
methods such as general, local, and monitored anesthesia care is
necessary. Adherence to malignant hyperthermia protocols and
effective pain assessment and management is required. Management of
patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) pumps will be part of the role.
Proficiency in using the Richmond Agitation Sedation Scale (RASS)
is expected. The Registered Nurse will work with diverse patient
populations, including adults and geriatrics. The unit is supported
by interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory services and
pharmacy. Ability to work weekends, with a requirement of 1-2
weekends per 4-week schedule. Candidates must be prepared for the
fingerprinting process as part of the hiring. No previous coworker
references will be accepted for application submissions. Education
