Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Dayton, Ohio, 45409! Job
Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours
Experience: Minimum 1.5 years, with some Level 1 or Level 2
experience preferred License: Valid RN license required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - EPIC
experience - Ability to pass an online EKG tele competency
assessment before starting the assignment - Experience with stable
chronic ventilators - IV Start preferred - Travel experience
preferred Description: Targeted patient ratios are 1:4, but they
can be up to 1:5-6. For a 48-hour contract, overtime is paid out
after 48 hours. Travelers may float as needed. Flotation will occur
at the discretion of the employer. Travelers will be assigned a
medically appropriate assignment or support the nursing care team
of the unit floated to. Travelers must be available to work every
other weekend and holiday. The employer reserves the right to
cancel shifts due to low census. Travelers are not eligible for
employee incentives. Documentation of requests for time off must be
included with the initial submission. No additional requests for
time off will be considered after the offer. Patient age groups
include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The daily census is
approximately 23. The unit has 23 beds. Interdisciplinary support
includes various teams such as IV teams, physical therapy,
respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy,
radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and
transportation. Patient diagnoses include COPD, CHF, AKI, CRF, PND,
COVID, flu, GI bleed, general intermediate care, falls, failure to
thrive, overdose, weakness, SOBC, cancer complications, cellulitis,
DVT, and CVA. Special procedures may include chest tube management,
HD/PD management, insulin drips, heparin drips, and nitro drips.
Special equipment utilized includes IV pumps, cardiac monitors,
