Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 16 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: Apr 6, 2026 - Length: 16 weeks - Openings: 3 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry (Oncology) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience and Epic proficiency. Details - Work in a Med/Surg Oncology unit (19 James) within an inpatient hospital setting - Patient population includes oncology patients receiving chemotherapy, soft tissue malignancy patients undergoing diagnostic services and symptom management, and patients with comorbidity management needs - Heavy emphasis on infection prevention protocols and fall prevention - Continuous cardiac monitoring is a core component of patient care on this unit - Patient ratio is 1:4 - Shift is nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30); rotating day/night contracts may be scheduled for days, nights, or a combination based on departmental needs, reviewed every 4-week scheduling period - Special equipment includes GE B450 telemetry monitors, bladder scanner, Alaris pumps, and Stryker beds - Epic EMR — experience required - Floating required within units of equivalent or lower acuity Requirements - Active OH RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand - Minimum 2 years of RN experience required - Current BLS certification required - Epic EMR experience required - Proficiency in cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation required - Required skills include: accessing ports, arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care/management, PICC line management, IV insertion, assisting with chest tube insertion/removal, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), and ABG interpretation - Previous travel nursing experience preferred - Oncology experience preferred but not required - 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration - Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration Additional Information - All time off and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at the time of initial consideration - There is no required break between assignments when changing representation at this facility (excluding Sterile Processing Techs) American Traveler Job ID P-677315.
