Join a dynamic MICU team in Columbus, Ohio (43210) for a 13-week travel nursing contract caring for complex adult and geriatric oncology patients in a collaborative, high-acuity setting./n /n/nQuick Facts/n /n - Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN), MICU / Oncology MICU, Night Shift/n - Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Columbus healthcare, Ohio travel nursing)/n - Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)/n - Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:30)/n - Hours per Week: 36/n - Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics (Oncology MICU)/n - Estimated Weekly Pay: $1940–$2040 (competitive travel nursing pay)/n /n/nJob Details/n /n - Work in a state-of-the-art Oncology MICU (J11 ICU/MICU ONCOLOGY) treating complex critical care patients./n - Opportunity for experienced MICU and critical care nurses, especially those with oncology ICU experience./n - Utilize Epic electronic medical record (Epic EMR) for documentation and collaboration./n /n/nMinimum Requirements / Qualifications/n /n - Minimum 2 years of recent MICU experience within the last 3 years (at least 1 year of current specialty MICU experience required)/n - Travel RN experience required (previous travel nursing assignments preferred)/n - Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission)/n - Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program/n - Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS/n - Experience with Epic computerized charting (Epic EMR)/n - Two professional references (one from a manager/director or formal leadership; Charge RN acceptable for second reference)/n - Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)/n /n/nCore Responsibilities/n /n - Provide comprehensive critical care nursing for oncology patients with diagnoses including oncologic emergencies, COPD, pneumonia, ARDS, GI bleed, neuromuscular disease, overdose, pulmonary hypertension, autoimmune disorders, and sepsis./n - Manage hemodynamically unstable patients: mechanical ventilation/ventilator management, pulmonary artery catheters, CRRT (NxStage), arterial pressure monitoring, cardiac monitoring, chest tubes, and central venous catheters./n - Administer and monitor complex medication regimens including chemotherapy administration and supportive oncology treatments in an ICU setting./n - Participate in clinical trials, plasmapheresis procedures, and performance/monitoring of special procedures such as bronchoscopy and endoscopy./n - Operate and monitor equipment: NxStage CRRT machines, Cortrak NG/Dobhoff placement, Alaris IV pumps, and GE monitors./n - Maintain infection prevention and isolation precautions consistent with critical care and oncology standards./n - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams to deliver patient-centered care./n - Document accurate and timely patient care using Epic charting system (Epic EMR) and comply with unit policies and regulatory standards./n /n/nWhy Join This Columbus Travel Nursing Opportunity/n /n - High-acuity critical care experience in a leading oncology MICU — ideal for ICU nurses, critical care RNs, and travel nurses looking to advance their skills./n - Competitive weekly pay and the chance to live and work in Columbus, Ohio — a vibrant city with cultural and culinary attractions./n - Supportive interdisciplinary environment focused on clinical excellence and professional growth./n /n/n /n Experience the excitement of Columbus while advancing your critical care nursing career.
