Ideal for experienced telemetry and oncology RNs seeking Ohio travel nursing assignments. /n/nJob Details/n/n /n/t - Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Columbus nursing jobs / Ohio travel nursing) /n/t - Healthcare Setting: Comprehensive Cancer Center — Acute Care Oncology Float Pool (Med/Surg Telemetry) /n/t - Position Type: Travel Nurse (Registered Nurse, RN) /n/t - Assignment Dates: April 20, 2026 – August 10, 2026 (16 weeks) /n/t - Shift: Night shift, 12-hour nights (19:00 - 07:30), 3 shifts/week (36 hours/week) /n/t - Orientation: 1 week dayshift orientation, then 5 bedside orientation shifts /n/t - Scheduling: Self-scheduling requests accepted before final schedule posted; weekend coverage variable /n/t - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940 - $2040/week /n /n/nRequired Qualifications/n/n /n/t - Minimum 2 years recent high-acuity Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (within last 3 years) /n/t - Oncology nursing experience preferred (BMT, hematology/oncology, medical oncology) /n/t - Travel nursing experience required — prior travel RN assignments preferred /n/t - Active RN license: compact OR Ohio state RN license in hand at submission /n/t - Graduated from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program /n/t - Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; OCN/ONS/ONCC certifications preferred /n/t - Experience with Epic EMR / Epic charting system /n/t - Ability to float to multiple Med/Surg Oncology units as needed /n/t - Two professional references required (one must be a manager/director/supervisor) /n/t - Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) /n /n/nKey Responsibilities/n/n /n/t - Provide direct patient care across Med/Surg Telemetry and Oncology units, including BMT, Acute Leukemia, Hematology, PCU Oncology, Gynecologic, Urology, Colorectal, Surgical Oncology, and Corrections Healthcare /n/t - Deliver oncology nursing care and administer chemotherapy per unit policy, monitoring patients for reactions /n/t - Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias; manage cardiac drips (no titration) and respond to rapid response/code situations /n/t - Perform central and peripheral line care, phlebotomy, and blood product administration /n/t - Follow infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention strategies in acute care settings /n/t - Use specialized equipment: GE telemetry monitors, Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, Stryker beds, IV pumps, and other acute care devices /n/t - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, physical therapy (PT), respiratory therapy (RT), pharmacy, and social services to coordinate patient care /n/t - Document patient care accurately and timely in Epic EMR /n/t - Float to other Med/Surg Oncology units as needed to meet clinical demand /n /n/n Ready to Apply?
