Staffing ratios - goal is 1:4, but can be 1:5 Weekends - variable based on unit needs No set/blocked scheduling as that is not something we offer our permanent staff If you accept a 12D/N rotating contract, you may be scheduled for nights or a mix of shifts based on department priorities. Shift assignments are assessed every 4-week scheduling period. *Self-schedule requests - you will enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule before balancing and posting the final schedule *First week of orientation is Mon - Fri dayshift. Second week is 36hrs of on-unit orientation with a preceptor 2 Years of Experience Required Patient Age group • Adults • Geriatrics Patient Diagnoses • The most common diagnoses include all subtypes of the following: • Breast Cancer • Lung Cancer • Prostate Cancer • Pancreatic Cancer • Colon Cancer • Esophageal Cancer • Encounter for antineoplastic chemotherapy Special Procedures/Unit Details • 17 James cares for ALL solid tumor cancers throughout the spectrum of their cancer journey; from new diagnosis, through treatment, and also assisting with transition to end of life care. • Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls • Cares for patients that have true med surg issues Certifications Required • BLS Skills Required: • Telemetry Interpretation • Telemetry monitoring Certifications Preferred • ONS Chemo COMPUTERIZED CHARTING • EPIC Floating required to other MedSurg Oncology units PREVIOUS TRAVEL EXPERIENCE PREFERRED!
