This night-shift travel nurse role is ideal for RNs experienced in inpatient psych and behavioral health nursing who want a rewarding short-term assignment./n /n/nJob Details/n /n - Job Title: Travel Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN) – Nights/n - Location: Zanesville, OH 43701 (Ohio travel nursing, Zanesville nursing jobs)/n - Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 – $2,010/n - Assignment Length: 12 weeks/n - Setting: Inpatient Behavioral Health – Adults & Adolescents (Behavioral Health RN)/n - Shift: Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 x 12-hour shifts per week/n - Hours: Scheduled for 36 hours/week plus 24 hours on-call every 6 weeks; however, 40 hours per week are guaranteed per contract./n - Schedule Notes: Every other weekend and every other holiday required/n - Facility Cancellation Policy: The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours per 13-week contract./n /n/nJob Requirements/n /n - Minimum 1 year of behavioral health nursing experience; prior inpatient psychiatric RN experience preferred/n - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio/n - BLS certification (American Heart Association required)/n - Competency with Epic EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing systems/n - CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) training preferred; experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques/n - Ability and willingness to perform charge nurse duties when assigned/n /n/nResponsibilities/n /n - Deliver compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric nursing care to adult and adolescent patients/n - Perform psychiatric assessments, monitor patient status, and document progress in the EMR/n - Administer and document medications accurately, follow medication safety protocols/n - Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to implement individualized care plans/n - Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and conduct regular patient safety checks/n - Respond to emergencies, implement crisis intervention techniques, and participate in safety planning/n - Fulfill charge nurse responsibilities as needed, including staff coordination and shift leadership/n /n/n Apply now to join our behavioral health team for this Zanesville travel nursing opportunity.
