Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 05/04/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview - Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs - Hours: 36 hrs/wk - Start Date: May 4, 2026 - Length: 13 weeks - Openings: 1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool position requiring an OH or Compact RN license and recent Level 1 experience. Details - Position is based in a large pediatric hospital setting within a critical care float pool - Float assignments include NICU, CV PICU, ED, stepdown, and med/surg units as needed - Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30 - 13-week contract Requirements - Active OH or Compact RN license required - Minimum 2 years of PICU experience highly preferred; first-time travelers may be considered with closer to 3 years of PICU experience - Recent Level 1 facility experience required - Two supervisory references required (at least one must be a supervisor or manager — charge nurse references do not qualify) - Must be willing and able to float to multiple pediatric units as assigned Additional Information - First-time travelers will be considered with sufficient PICU experience (approximately 3 years) and recent Level 1 experience - Local candidates are not accepted for RN positions - Candidates who have worked permanently at this facility must have a gap of at least 2 years before being eligible - Floating to various pediatric units is a core requirement of this role — candidates must be fully prepared to accept float assignments American Traveler Job ID P-690138.
